We hope you all are continuing to have a wonderful Holiday season! Although we have yet to accumulate any snow, the brisk weather is definitely upon us. Snow is in the forecast for the coming week, we will see if any sticks before we ring in the New Year.
What are your plans for New Years Eve?
Traveling? Spending the night with Family? Partying with Friends? Whatever you choose, please make it safe.
Feel free to share your plans below!
A favorite of locals is the annual Traverse City New Years Eve CherryT Ball Drop, happening in Downtown Traverse City New Years Eve. This marks the 3rd annual event for the CherryT Ball Drop, which benefits local food banks, and of course our downtown merchants! The happening takes place at the corner of Front and Cass Streets, in the heart of downtown, directly in front of the giant illuminated Christmas Tree!
The events and activities kick off at 9pm and include live entertainment, a DJ, a special visit from the coast guard, ice sculptures, and much more. Interested in making this a full night of fun? You can purchase reserved seating, for $50 a ticket, and be located near all the action on stage. Grandview Catering will provide delicious food and goodies.
The wacky ball drop begins just minutes before midnight. A giant Cherry, illuminated by 5,000-7,000 christmas lights drops from almost 200 feet above the giant Christmas tree! This is definitely something you do not want to miss!
The CherryT Ball Drop made the list as the 29th most Wackiest New Years Eve Ball Drop, by Travel & Leisure !
Grab the kids, loved ones, family, and friends and head down to the CherryT Ball Drop in downtown Traverse City for what is sure to be a memorable way to ring in 2012! More information can be found Here. Have a very fun and Happy New Year!!!
